FREE 4 and 8-hour Orienteering 🧠+ Mountain Biking 🚵 adventure race on November 8th IVO Mint Springs Valley Park in Crozet, VA.
Racers will navigate rugged terrain using only a map, compass, and snacks. The course mixes singletrack, fireroads, off-trail routes, and elevation changes. Both teams and solo racers will face steep climbs, hidden checkpoints, thorns, and the unpredictable Blue Ridge backcountry.
The 8hr race starts at 0800 and will take place in the park and potentially adjacent private property - more to follow.
The 4hr race will take place inside the park and is a great choice for families, kids, my daughter's team, and first-time racers.
Both races include on-foot and mountain biking control points; you'll need to collect both types to complete the race.
This race supports the Crozet Cares Closet. Donations are encouraged and will be collected at check-in. Check the FAQ for suggested donation items.
